Many soils around Texarkana carry clay that swells when it is wet and shrinks when it dries, so good concrete starts before the truck shows up. We build and compact the pad, set the forms, vapor barrier and steel, and schedule the pour around the weather, then finish it, cut the control joints and let it cure properly.
