Working in Wake Village

Right next door, on the west side of Texarkana.

Wake Village adjoins Texarkana on the west. It was built in the 1940s to house workers from the Red River Army Depot, and it is still a residential city of established neighborhoods and good-sized lots. That makes it steady ground for driveways, patios, garages, shop buildings and additions, a few minutes from our base.
